It seems the WSJ has jumped on the Kill-a-Watt bandwagon and measured random home electronics devices. I guess it goes to show why the author is a professional journalist, and I'm a software engineer: what I found too boring to even write another blog entry on, he was able to stretch out into a full article. (In short: modern home electronics consume very little power compared to the standard home behemoths: refrigerator, washer/dryer, lighting.)
