• Closing In On DITA

I'm getting closer to having a DITA environment running on my SXDE laptop. Well, one small step, at least.

I've installed the XMLmind XML Personal Editor 3.6.2, which is a free distribution for open source use. Hopefully it will prove to be useful for the OpenMPI docs project.

You can find it at: http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/download.shtml

I downloaded the tar.gz distro to install on SXDE, and it came right up without any problems. (Isn't it great when that happens!)

Next, to install the DITA Open Toolkit.
I'm finding the DITA user guide at http://dita-ot.sourceforge.net/doc/ot-userguide131/xhtml/index.html very helpful so far.
