rchrd wrote his first computer program in FORTRANSIT on the IBM 650 in 1962.
He also is a photographer and has a life and a radio program.

• Large Hadron Collider Online at CERN

Big news today from CERN. 

They managed to turn on the Large Hadron Collider beam!

Here's a wonderful animation they produced about how the data generated by sensors observing the collision of two proton beams will be handled-
