• Ruby on Rails - One Day UCB Overview Course

A number of courses, events, and seminars are available from the Univ of California, Berkeley, Webcasts/Podcasts site. (webcast.berkeley.edu)

One I found particularly interesting is a quick intro to Ruby on Rails:

This is an intensive one-day overview of the fundamental concepts of the Ruby on Rails Web programming framework, presented by the UC Berkeley RAD Lab. The overview consists of six sections of approximately one hour each.

This took place a few weeks ago and is now available as a Real Audio videocast from

http://webcast.berkeley.edu/event_details.php?webcastid=20854

I found it quite entertaining, actually. The course material is available online at:

http://radlab.cs.berkeley.edu/wiki/Ruby_on_Rails_1-day_course

There are a lot of interesting courses and recorded events on the UCB Webcasts site. Not all are intelligible, due to bad recording techniques. But there are some really valuable classes you can sit in on at your convenience.
