• Sun in Second Life

Sun now has a real presence in Second Life, that virtual world that will suck every spare moment out of you. And we now have a family. Sun employees who want to recognized as such in SL all have the family name SunMicrosystems. So, in-world, I am RichardFriedman SunMicrosystems. There I am sitting at the fountain in the Sun Pavillion (http://slurl.com/secondlife/SMI/153/102/67).

At this point I'm not sure what I'm doing here. And, its lonely. No one else seems to be around. (Maybe that's because its just after midnight, Pacific Time). One thing I do know... It's very hot here. I mean, I'm running the SL client on my laptop, which is telling me that the internal temperature is nearly 90 C. (Yes, Centigrade, thats almost 194 degees F). No wonder my lap is on fire!

Now I'm afraid of melting this many K$ laptop the company gave me to use. Sheesh. Pretty soon I could use it to boil First Life water for tea, while in Second Life. Anyway, if you see me lurking around, trying to figure all this out, say Hi, or whatever they say in SL.

Meantime, I just think I'll leave my Second Self sitting there, and take my First Self to my First Life bed.
