Developer Summit 2008
Developer Summit って「デブサミ」って言うんですね。すごい略語ですね... 大阪弁でいうMacdonald =「マクド」って感じ (伝わらないだろうなぁ。。。) でもデジタルカメラを「デジカメ」とか木村拓哉を「キムタク」っていうから、慣れたら違和感ないんだろうな。。。
って、そういうことを言いたいんではなくて、それに参加することになったのでお知らせです。Sun TechDays と同様にコミュニティーブースを出すことになりました。前回と同様、翻訳テクノロジーの紹介・デモのほかに、実際に活動中の翻訳・エンジニアリングプロジェクトを紹介して、参加者を募るということもしたいと思っています。
今ちょうど、OpenOffice.org 3.0 の翻訳が始まったところです。jMusu の翻訳もスタートしたし、NetBeans も...。各プロジェクトには翻訳サポートとして参加していますので、翻訳方法とかツールの使い方など、お話したいと思います。

場所は目黒雅叙園なんですね... こういうイベントって不慣れなので不安だわ... 暇すぎたらどうしよう、とか、うまくしゃべれなかったらどうしよう、とか、いらんこと考えます。でもいろんな方にお会いできるのが楽しみです。二日とも朝から夕方までいますので、是非お越しくださいませー！

I have not known Developer Summit is called "Debu-sami" in short. It sounds new and .. to be honest... strange to me like when I heard "Makudo" as a short term for Macdonald in Osaka dialect (even though I was raised in Osaka). On the other hand, now it is familiar to me to call Digital Camera as "Deji-kame" and Kimura Takuya as "Kimu-taku", so "Debu-sami" should be fine...
... No! What I wanted to tell here is not such a stupid monologue, but the news that we will have Community Booth like we had in Tech Days. In addition to the translation technologies (introduction and demo), I would like to show how to join the on-going translation project for various communities.
Now, OpenOffice.org 3.0 has just started, and so has jMusu and NetBeans! I am working on most of them as a language support, and so happy to share how to use the tools and work on the project.

I have never been to Meguro Gajoen... to be honest, such an event is challenging for me. I tend to be nervous and think too much, such as what if no one comes to my booth and I have nothing to do... or wonder if I can talk OK. Off course, the biggest fun for me is to meet people. I find a lot of fun to work in a team. I will be by the Community Booth from morning to evening on both of days, and am looking forward seeing you there!
