Microsoft Starts A Community Blog Site.

Similar to our own blogs.sun.com, Microsoft have now started Microsoft Community Blogs. "You can use the directory below to find weblogs about Microsoft technologies written by Microsoft employees. Use these blogs to get insights and opinions about using (and creating!) Microsoft technology and software." Blogs are really starting to open up the technology industry.

A substantial number of MS employees have been blogging for some considerable time on http://blogs.msdn.com. And before that, on gotdotnet.com. I think it's an awesome thing for big companies to reach out to their communities via blogging. It seems to really work... MS had probably one of the most "closed" reputations in the industry, and I think blogging is a big part of how they're changing that perception.

Microsoft employees have been blogging at http://blogs.msdn.com for almost 18 months. The community portal is just a more prominent place to aggreagate all Microsoft employee blogs.
