Tuesday June 21, 2005 It's Pratchett Time

I had a birthday back at the end of May. I'd just turned thirty (at least in one of the more popular number bases), so I decided to treat myself to three Terry Pratchett books that I'd never read. As I've read all of the Discworld series and all of his childrens books (and own most of them), this didn't leave many choices. |
Sight unseen, I immediately put in an Amazon order for:
- The Unadulterated Cat (with Gray Jolliffe).
- Once More, with footnotes (on the recommendation of ozan).
- Terry Pratchett, Guilty of Literature (a biography by Andrew M. Butler et al).
Amazon happily accepted my order and told me they'd come some time between 1st and 12th of July. Hmm. That seems a long time. Perhaps they needed to order them from England. I accepted this until about five days ago, then went back and adjusted the order to tell them to ship them individually, when they become available. This resulted in two of them being shipped the next day and the final one being shipped yesterday.
The first two have arrived today, so that means that everything else on my Now Reading list gets pushed down the stack, and I immediately start reading the Pratchett books. See you on the other side.
