Vacation Next Week
|
And not a day too soon. After last night's fiasco, I finally have a (different) Windows Xp machine back up, with the printer attached and the various other computers adjusted to print to this new setup. |
I think the other Windows Xp computer, the one that got hit by spyware last night, is still in bad shape. As suggested by a couple people, I'm going to do a complete format and reinstall the O/S. I might also take the opportunity to turn this machine into another triple boot.
But that can all wait. It's time to relax next week. Duncan is on his "ski break" holiday from school and we'll be doing some local day trips, possibly including the Discovery museum in Sausalito. Perfect timing as they are featuring an access/ABILITY exhibit:
Access/ABILITY is a highly interactive, yet sensitive disability awareness exhibition that delivers the message to children, parents and educators that as human beings, we are more alike than different. This unique exhibition presents people living with disabilities as participants in the world and features fun and engaging activities that show the similarities and differences in how each of us, with or without disabilities, goes places, communicates, has fun, and learns. Visitors will have a chance to learn phrases in American Sign Language, type their names in Braille, try a hand-pedaled bike and take part in the Multi-sensory City Walk.
A chance for me to really try out my new camera.
Expect blogging to recommence Monday week.
