Links for 6th August 2007
It's been a while since I did one of these. I'm got quite a backlog of links to fully checkout.
- XDesign Blog
The Accessibility Program Office, (which is where I work), is part of xDesign at Sun.
xDesign provides a wide range of design services for Sun's software products including visual and motion-graphic design, interaction design, usability reviews, user research, web development and assistance with accessibility compliance.
xDesign have just started their own group blog. It's early days, but if you are interested in all things related to the HCI side of the software design experience at Sun, then this is a good place to start.
- Walk Score™ - How walkable is your house?
Our house got 31%. The Google data is a little out of date though. It's a pity you can't customize how it looks up your score. For example, we don't care too much on how close we are to a bar.
- International Snow Sculpture Championships
The 2006 winner is most excellent.
- 500 billion billion scenarios later, checkers 'solved'
"After 18 years, running hundreds of computers, researchers created an unbeatable program that will choose the best move in every possible situation."
