Hi Carson.

Well I spent about five minutes searching their web site and it's not obvious. I'm no ant expert, but maybe the genus Paratrechina is so named because these are Chinese ants? Although a Google search shows them in Australia and Costa Rica.

Hi,Burrdge I am not an ant expert too. Before I found your blog on the web,I never touch anything on the internet about ants, except a download software named as netants.I also spent 5 miniutes to search ants in china on baidu.com,I find something, perhaps useful to you. Here is the url: http://ant.ckzl.com/databank/Myrmicinae/index.html The website collects ants live in China(including Taiwan ). So can you read some chinese sentences? You can go to my blog to read something about a chinese office man's life.

Hi Carson. Thanks for the Chinese ant link. I noticed that the California Academy of Sciences has a "Contact Us" link. You might like to let them know of the Chinese site so that they can update their web pages.

Unfortunately I don't read Chinese sentences, but your graphics and layout look much better than mine! ;-)

I will write more English blog for the future. Yours is good. I see Calendar on your blog is in Chinese. Is the blogs.sun.com support that people from different countries can read them in their own language?

Hi Carson. Thanks! Re: calendar - I guess it must be. That's pretty cool.
