Hairballs

As long time readers of this blog know, we have a dog and two cats. Because the dog likes to chase the cats, the two cats live upstairs most of the time. During the day, they like to sleep on the bed in one of the bedrooms.

On the white bedspread. Two long hair cats leave a lot of cat hair there. It's a mess. Yesterday I finally got around to washing the bedspread and then put it through the dryer.

This morning I went to put it back on the bed. In the dryer, I found three nicely created hairballs. If Stephen Jay Gould was alive, he'd probably be able to write an essay for Natural History magazine on this, but it's beyond me.
