I Want A Linux/Unix Utility To ... - Update 1st February 2007
|
I only had a couple of hours to work on the list this week. Thanks to everybody who commented on the previous version. |
I have made the following changes:
- Integrated in suggestions via comments to the 24th Jan 2007 blog post.
- Added in a "General Introductions" area, with the following entries:
- Learn to Use Linux
- Solaris User's Guide
- Learn to use GNOME
- KDE User's Guide
- Added in a new entry to the "Performance/Recovery/System" section:
"act as frontend for Firewall (ip_tables)" with a note explaining what this
is about.
- Added in a new entry for "convert and transfer video to my ipod".
- Adjusted the GNOME key description to indicate that this covers both GNOME and GTK applications.

All good ideas. I'll get right on it!
If I didn't have a RealJob(TM), it might not even take too long. I'll add it to the TODO list for the next version if I don't get a chance to implement it. Thanks.

G16: regexxer
http://regexxer.sourceforge.net/
http://gnomefiles.org/app.php/regexxer
As the author of this little tool I'm of course biased, but people seem to like it and G16 only suggests shell scripting at the moment.
Keep up the great work!
