"Size, color, feel of paper bills could change."
Emphasis on could. I see the U.S. Treasury Department is fighting this all the way. Your government
inactionin action.Note that changing to money with different size, color and feel can benefit sighted people too.

s/can/does/ . Being initially from one country with sane money (the U.K.) and now living in another with sane money (Canada), having to deal with the stupid identically sized and colored U.S. bills is about the second most annoying thing about visiting the States (after customs).
I'm surprised the Treasury's so opposed, as I've read that one of the less obvious significant drawbacks of having identically sized bills is that it makes it (relatively) easy for professional counterfeiters to simply get a ton of $1 bills, bleach them, and re-print them as $20 or $50 or $100 bills. Just like that, their forged bill is using the absolute correct material in the absolute correct size. In the U.K., bills increase in size as they increase in value, so there's no way you could reprint a £5 note as a £50 note.

Yup, the quote was definitely U.S. centric.
I've experienced the joy of different colored,
different sized money when I lived in the U.K.
and Oz.
Currently Mike, "the blind guy" in our group
has to fold his different bill denominations
in different ways and put them in multiple
compartments in his wallet.
