Links for 30th October 2006
Really busy today trying to track down this annoying
bug in
gnome-terminal vte, so not much time for blogging.
Just these four links and a bit of
commentary.
- Top 10 Bushisms
What, only ten! I would have (sadly) thought that there was enough for a book by now.I prefer the Colemanballs from when I was growing up. Much funnier.
- Top 500 Folders in Bloglines
Seems less that 500 to me.
- Wired: Very Short Stories
"We'll be brief: Hemingway once wrote a story in just six words ("For sale: baby shoes, never worn.") and is said to have called it his best work. So we asked sci-fi, fantasy, and horror writers from the realms of books, TV, movies, and games to take a shot themselves."
My top three would be Richard Powers, Margaret Atwood and Ken MacLeod.
- How Not to Die
What an historical version of the Darwin Awards could look like.
