Links for 6th February 2007

Like a lot of people, I have a "to do" list. It's probably more accurately a "someday maybe" list. It contains numerous things I'd like to investigate further if there were more hours in the day or there weren't a load of other things that I want to look at first. It's not a Honeydew list; the missus probably cares ~1i (not one iota -- a little APL humor there for you old-timers) about anything on that list.

I've been turning a lot of these "someday maybe" items into links in my blog and they will also eventually become del.icio.us bookmarks.

I also have a "to read" list. This is a combination of various non-urgent emails I've received over the last year that will take a little while to get through and links to online papers and documents that I haven't got around to yet.

Well it's been a good day. I've found the root cause of two nasty bugs that are affecting Orca. We've been to see a new tax accountant who we like. With all these good vibes, I should probably go out and buy a lottery ticket.

So I'm going to take a little while, and go through some of the 25 back editions of the weekly System News for Sun Users (US Edition) that I've accumulated and transfer items from there to my "someday maybe" list. Others might find these interesting too.

Note that I think you have to be a member to get to the full text for these articles. That's $52 a year. Or $1 a week. Seems worth it to me.
