Our son meets a Harlem Globetrotter

As I mentioned last week, Duncan went with his cub scout troop to see the Harlem Globetrotters in San Jose about ten days ago. He got to meet the players and was allowed to stand in front of one, which will be great practice if he ever wants to be a local TV news reporter. They just love to do that sort of thing. Duncan is four feet tall, so I'll let you do the math and guess how tall the other guy is.

The players also showed the cubs how they do some of their tricks, which was "awesome" (his favorite word at the moment).

Then Duncan, along with several thousand others got to watch the actual game. He's holding a small basketball that he bought as a souvenir, trying to mimic the actions of the players. Since then he's been practicing catching that little ball. If he ever decides to take basketball up as a sport at school, we are prepared. There is already a hoop attached to the front of the garage that he can practice with. We are also quite confident that height won't be a problem. Up until he was about 4 years old, he was charting at the 95th percentile. He's coming down a bit now but he's still tall for his age (like one of his grand-dads).
