RSS Aggregator - which one?

Time to start organising my reading of other peoples blogs and the interesting RSS feeds out there. Last night I was reading the RSS tutorial mentioned by M. Mortazavi. Lots of great stuff there, but it's very inconclusive of which tools to use.

There is just an over-whelming number of aggregators out there. I've also been taking notes of the ones that have been mentioned on our internal bloggers list, such as HotSheet, NewsMonster, PinkPanther, RSSOwl, SnowNews, Straw and, Syndigator

At the moment, I've no idea which one to pick, and I don't really have the time to do an exhaustive test of each one, so I thought I'd try a different approach. I'd specify what I'm looking for, and hopefully the folks reading this who have "been there, done that" can point me in the right direction.

Here's my criteria:

Pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm a bit biased ;-), but I think Bloglines may be what you're looking for. Web based, so it runs everywhere (and no need to worry about syncing your subscriptions from different aggregators), and more features than any of the desktop aggregators. Thanks.

Use Bloglines. I've been using other aggreggators for a while and nothing beats the simplicity of bloglines. It's always available anywhere I go. That's the great thing about web based aggregators. No software to maintain, upgrade, or install. Just add a capable browser and your up and running.

You're gonna want to use NetNewsWire on your Mac... Just too cool an app not to use... http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/

My picks are Sharpreader on Windows, NetNewsWire on Mac OS X, and Bloglines if you want a web-based Newsreader. My favorite is Bloglines. I switched to Bloglines recently and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to go back to a desktop-based solution. I love the convenience of having my subscriptions stored in a central place that I can access from all my computers (work, home, and laptop).
