Fun at the OpenSolaris Users Group last night Jim and I had fun at last nights Silicon Valley OpenSolaris Users Group. We finally met a few more great OpenSolaris community members, including Ben Rockwood, who has blogged about the meeting already! We ran a quiz and gave away a set of signed books too.
I just posted the slides we used to talk about the book here, for reference.

The new books are *not* yet available in Europe. More, I tried to place a order using amazon.com and they said expected delivery date: October 2006 ! So Im confused: where can you buy these books from ?
Amazon.co.uk says sometimes in September as available. Please read what amazon.co.uk sent me:
"Greetings from Amazon.co.uk
We are sorry to report that we have contacted our supplier who have confirmed that the following item(s) in your order is/are no longer available:
--------------------------------------------------
Solaris Internals
--------------------------------------------------
We have cancelled the item(s) listed above, and your credit card has not been charged.
We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience. Until recently we still hoped to have obtained this item for you."
A better idea is that you guys pickup a better publisher next time... I placed my order for SI last year :)
cheers,
Stefan

Thanks for quick answer and feedback. I am happy as UPS called and they said I will get my book on Monday, super cool.
I dont know but maybe for future I should use directly the publisher site and not amazon.co.uk. Looks like Europe is getting the updates very slow and there is a mess currently under amazon.co.uk related with their delivery estimates !
