Another Type of Drive-By
I was on my way home on my electric bike after having gotten some baked dough-egg-chives goodness from one of the local vendors when I saw a guy on a three-wheel cart heading the opposite direction. He had bananas, peaches, and a scale on the back of his cart. We made eye contact as we passed. And, boom, that was it. We both screeched to a stop, got off our vehicles, and, in a few minutes, I was on my way with three bananas in my basket.

Robert,
Love it. Moving at bike speed definitely opens up all sorts of options.
Since we couldn't get one of those cool electric-bikes that you have there in Beijing, we went with a fancier one for Meta in Sac. She has been enjoying using it around Portland. It's just like a standard bike, but with a little less sweat.

Very cute story...I actually laughed out loud reading it. I could see that happening! By the way, I remember those electric bikes in Japan when I was there around 10 years ago...they cost like 2000 bucks there though! Am actually looking into selling my car in the next 6 months and buying a scooter and using zip car if I really need one.
