I added a banner to my blog two days ago. In case I change it sometime in the future, here's a small link to it:

In case folks didn't notice, this is a view from my bedroom window. I've taken pictures and blogged about it previously here and here. I took this picture around 6 am on Thursday, as I was getting up for the Sun Tech Days Beijing.

Here's how this picture came about:

1. Opened-up my bedroom window :)
2. Held my Nikon D50 w/ Nikkor 18-55 lens attached (set at 18 mm) outside the window
3. Took seven or so shots from right to left(*) in NEF format
4. Loaded the shots onto my MacBookPro
5. Automatically stitched them together using Photoshop
6. Exported the panorama to JPEG
7. Loaded it onto flickr

A fair of what I blog about takes place in this world, so it might be worthwhile to take a look the Original Size of the image. I'll see about adding notes on it with placenames and links to blog entries in the future.

* I've always felt more comfortable moving my camera from right to left when taking such shots. I cannot attribute this to Hebrew or Chinese, because I cannot read or write either language, but something just feels natural about the movement.
