Skating at Hou Hai
I went skating at Hou Hai with Michelle and her family today. Here's the obligatory establishing panorama:
Now, as Melanie can undoubtedly attest, I am far from an accomplished skater. (Sorry, just got sidetracked, Leo is on the couch next to me chasing his tail. Okay, he caught it. Bad tail, bad.) So, I had the option of choosing either one of these:
Or, if I waited a bit, this:
Of course, I opted to wait. I really had a great time on it. Got up some real speed at times, and even did a couple rad slides that reminded me of my high school years when I used to take my '69 Mustang Coupe into parking lots and burn donut after donut with my siblings in the car and we'd laugh as the tires would squeal and smoke would waft up into the cabin through the open windows... umh, I hope Mom doesn't read this post. Nope, it wasn't me. I was watching someone else do it, really. And, I never ever took any cookies from the cookie jar without asking. Nope. Never. Not me.
In any event, I had a wonderful time.

Wow, I thought those were old desks that were just left on the rink! That is hiliarious!

You were a good skater! But I can see why you'd holdout for the skating bicycle. That looks like a lot of fun.
