Success
I've been thinking these past many minutes about how to measure success. And, after this arduous period of deep and violent introspection, I've come to the following conclusion:
Success is gauged by how often things you've said are quoted and attributed to you.
For those who would like to pass on this (very) small pearl of wisdom, here's a sample usage:
And, as Robert Sohigian once said, "Success is gauged by how often things you've said are quoted and attributed to you".

Laughing out loud! This one is almost as good as the Harding Factor. Which incidentally was created by Rob Sohigian. :)

Does it count if the person disagrees with you:
As Robert Sohigian once said, "Success is gauged by how often
things you've said are quoted and attributed to you".
However that just measures your ability to be quoted and not
necessarily your influence or impact on the world. Even though the
greatest person currently walking the earth is a Politician he is
rarely quoted although he should be held up as a mirror in which
other Politicians should look at their reflection.
By your measure most engineers would not be counted as successful.
The truly successful leave a lasting impact on the world which they are
happy with.
On the other hand if the purpose of the post was to start a discussion and make people think than it is a success.
Thanks

I would comment on this post, however I think it was better stated by Robert Sohigian who once said, "Success is gauged by how often things you've said are quoted and attributed to you".
