Well, now that both Olympics have left my beloved city, things are returning to usual.

And, amongst them, the following:

  • Food vendors on three-wheel carts... which, since I'm more than challenged in the cooking department, affected me horribly.
  • Sidewalk dining that spills out from the small, cramped, and often dirty restaurants that I frequent.
  • Sidewalk produce markets.
  • The constant din from various construction sites.
  • People begging for money... especially around Wudaoko.
  • The lines of "black cars" (people hiring out their unlicensed vehicles) in the same area.

Thanks goodness for normality!

How about DVD/CD sales?

I can neither confirm nor deny that any illicit activity regarding DVD/CD sales took place before the Olympics, or that they have returned since their departure. And, I certainly will not attest to having any first-hand knowledge of said sales.

Agreed, it was nice having the world here for the summer but it's also nice to get the City back for ourselves. I will be happy when we get that third traffic lane back on Sunday.
