I've been itching to talk about this for a little while, and now its finally official. The folks at Moteiv are reinventing themselves and have re-announced as Sentilla. They have been working for some time on traditional Mote-type devices and are now moving to a more powerful Java-based platform. I'm happy to see this development and feel quite pleased to see their work move forward. And furthermore they are in Redwood City, the nearest city to my home, so I feel like we're neighbors already. What's not to like?

Congratulations Sentilla and best of luck!

What exactly is a "more powerful Java-based platform"? Something like the SunSPOT?
