[ Web ] P-2-P Content Distribution Sample

Aaron Swartz and Christopher Garcia have hacked together this p2p content distribution website in response to a call by a Stanford Law Professor. Internet Archive is hosting the content under the Creative Commons license. If you wish, you can submit your own content.

[ Telecommunications ] Wi-Fi-to-Cellular Handoff

Wi-Fi-to-Cellular handoff technology is no less trivial than the one used in cell-to-cell handoff, say for example the one used in GSM.

Experiments with multi-network mobile devices and network-network hand-off technologies have been going on for some time.

Some operators are now claiming plans to roll out commercial systems next year.

[ Society ] Granny D. Blogs

Granny D.'s Weblogs on LessigBlog are certainly worth a read.

At 94, she is one of the most lucid (and very funny) bloggers I have come across. Here are her blogs on her New Hampshire run for the U.S. senate, on free markets and protectionism, on philosophy of economics and on Digital Equipment vs. Wal-Mart.

Granny's speeches can be found here.

I have to admit that I don't know very much about Granny D. but she seems to be an institution of her own. One thing is certain. She's honest and a straight shooter--very rare characteristics indeed.
