My first Netbeans plugin, my first open source project

Building a Netbeans module was one of these tasks I had on my mind for a long time. Actually I thought of using Netbeans as a platform in a project two years ago. But with no experience I was afraid to run in a dead end with a framework. So I decided we would implement the rich client in the traditional way from ground up. In the end the client looked much like a typical IDE and we implemented many, many things we would have gotten free with a platform like Netbeans. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not, because at that time building Netbeans modules had a steep learning curve and there was not much documentation.

But this has changed for quite some time now. There are many tutorials on the web and netbeans also offers support for building modules in the IDE itself. So no reason to wait any longer. My first module offers a feature I alwas wanted to have: Integration of HTML Tidy in Netbeans.

To add my experience to the public I decided to make the module open source. You'll find the result at https://nbtidy.dev.java.net. Feel free to join.
