Online Gaming Dangerous?
A Shanghai online game player stabbed to death a competitor who sold his cyber-sword:

So this murder opens legal questions connected with the online-gaming. Should I be able to sue my friend if he steals virtual items from me?
It's interesting to see how real is virtual life for some of the people. I'm playing in my spare time
World of Warcraft, a game played by more than 1.5 million gamers all over the world. I try not to spend too much time with it (although I find it extremely amusing and addictive).
I have friends who spend more than 14 hours a day with it. One friend doesn't go to work, all his social life happens inside the game. He actually started to bike when the game is boring so that he doesn't loose his physical condition. In some extent, it seems that online gaming is dangerous - for people who have an inclination to become addictive.
Another observation - most of the people I play with are quite intelligent and successfull. They are university students, owners of companies, enterpreneurs, or they have some kind of employment which causes that money is no problem for them. And they enjoy lots of fun with the game. I always ask myself how much can a virtual world replace the real world - and still seem to like the real world more, especially now the spring comes. But on one of those dark gray winter days it's nice to go to a virtual world where sun always shines and people are smiling. Dangerous thought, isn't it?

A picture of my friend who takes gaming really seriously. No, it's not me, really. Look me up in namefinder if you don't believe :-)
