First NetBeans User Group Meeting in Munich

The very first NetBeans User Group (NUG) meeting will happen on October 17, 2006 from 10:00am - 4:00pm in Munich, Germany. The location is Sun Microsystems, Sonnenallee 1, Kirchheim-Heimstetten 85551.

What is a NUG? Well it's all about bringing NetBeans developers/evangelists and NetBeans users together. We want to do these NUGs around the world and discuss with our users what they like about NetBeans, their pains, share tips & tricks, demo new features, etc.

I'll speak at the first NUG meeting in Munich and right now I am talking with my German-speaking colleagues to join me (Ich spreche ein wenig Deutch, aber wirklich nur ein wenig und sehr langsam ;). Geertjan might also show up. If you don't know Geertjan, don't consider yourself as a valid member of NetBeans community!

And most of all, this will be fun. If you're from Germany and would like to help us with organizing this event (we can also provide slots for speakers), please contact me at roman dot strobl at sun dot com. We will also have some nice giveways so don't miss this event if you live in Munich or it's surrounding!
Comments:

It would be nice to join the meeting, but due to expense restrictions I will not be there :-( Can I get a copy of the presentation slides ? Will you talk about Netbeans - Application Client Container integration :>o ?

Posted by Mike on září 19, 2006 at 08:02 odp. CEST #

Will we need to register ahead of time or may we just show up?

Posted by Ralph on září 19, 2006 at 10:10 odp. CEST #

We suggest you to register, so that we know how many people to expect. But if you show up without registration, we will also let you in :) As for the slides, yes, I think we'll publish them. As for the Application Client - I don't know, the agenda hasn't been finalized yet.
