Have you already downloaded NetBeans 6.1 RC1?

NetBeans 6.1 is coming soon - it is now available as first release candidate. So go get it. I've been using it for demos during our road trip in Poland (we have driven about 1000 km by car - I am in Wroclaw now :) and it works quite well. The only problem I noticed is that the Options window doesn't show the preview for fonts & colors changes... according to my coleague from QE this bug is known. Hmm I wonder if this will work in the final version? :)

6.1 RC1 looks great, thanks. I'm only sorry I don't see much of Groovy support. Can't wait till I'll be able to mix Groovy/Java in one project.

Netbeans's JSP editor really sucks. I mean open I open the first time a jsp file for editing my CPU goes to 100% and stays there for a few seconds. This is really annoying.

I'd like to see you do an entry on the PHP support which seems to no longer be in beta according to update center. Show the editor features, working with Apache, working over FTP, working with Favorites tab (folder instead of FTP), debugger, and whatever other features that would be useful. I'd like our PHP guys currently using Eclipse to gain some interest in NetBeans and give it a try.

It seems that the Preview issue will be fixed in a future release. :-(

Groovy support is available as a plug-in. It will be on the update center for final release. As for the JSP editor, please file bugs... developers have been working hard to fix the issues but there still may be some problems.

As for PHP, it is a bit early to switch. We will have a preview for Java One... then it will be more interesting.

Too bad that the preview won't be fixed - it is a regression :(

I use 6.1 since the Beta, mainly for Web-Development: Tapestry, Hibernate, HTML and a lot of JavaScript and I'm am really happy with it. Performance has improved a lot since 6.0. JavaScript support is really helpful, thanks a lot Tor!

why JSlider binding in netbeans 6.1 show only value binding and not greyed out? my table had no relationship, just one table.
