NetBeans 6.0 Beta1 out now - this time for real! :)

NetBeans 6 beta1 has just been released. Get it from netbeans.org. We'll discuss it in the 35th episode of NetBeans podcast which will go live tonight. While you're at it, you can also download final release of Glassfish v2 from glassfish.dev.java.net. Released just a while ago, too!

Hey Roumen:
This is great news. Do you have any idea what happened to the HTML plugin. By that I mean the plugin that saw a WWW folder as a project and could edit the html, javascript, and CSS. It is not available in the list of available plugins.
Otherwise the startup is so much faster.

Hi there, I tried to download the Web & Java EE for LINUX twice and it wont install keeps saying the file is corrupt

face@devbox:~$ ./netbeans-6_1.0beta1-javaee-linux.sh
Configuring the installer...
Searching for JVM on the system...
Extracting installation data...

Installer file /home/face/netbeans-6_1.0beta1-javaee-linux.sh seems to be corrupted

And the size of the file I have is

100 416 962 bytes for both downloads. Anybody had any luck with this. Itching to give this thing an trying and frustrated. Linux version is ubuntu

Nice, but the link is broken...

They changed the link to:

http://bits.netbeans.org/download/6_0/beta1/latest

As for the linux installer problem, we'll look into it, but in meanwhile you can use the zip version which is platform-independent. Thanks.

Hello, I had no problems installing NetBeans 6.0 Beta 1 on Kubuntu Linux. But I only downloaded the Java SE Version (23,244,800 Bytes).

Hello, can you help me about this ?:

I´d just installed Netbeans 6.0 beta1 and
when try to open an C/C++ sample project:

Could not successfully run the g++ compiler to configure the built-in source file parser. Please
make sure that g++ is in your PATH and restart the IDE.

Where is the g++ compiler??

Thanks

You can install it with Cygwin (on Windows) or it comes as a part of Linux, the package name differs based on distribution.
