NetBeans 6 beta1 has just been released. Get it from netbeans.org. We'll discuss it in the 35th episode of NetBeans podcast which will go live tonight. While you're at it, you can also download final release of Glassfish v2 from glassfish.dev.java.net. Released just a while ago, too!
Hey Roumen:
This is great news. Do you have any idea what happened to the HTML plugin. By that I mean the plugin that saw a WWW folder as a project and could edit the html, javascript, and CSS. It is not available in the list of available plugins.
Otherwise the startup is so much faster.

They changed the link to:
http://bits.netbeans.org/download/6_0/beta1/latest
As for the linux installer problem, we'll look into it, but in meanwhile you can use the zip version which is platform-independent. Thanks.

Hello, I had no problems installing NetBeans 6.0 Beta 1 on Kubuntu Linux. But I only downloaded the Java SE Version (23,244,800 Bytes).

You can install it with Cygwin (on Windows) or it comes as a part of Linux, the package name differs based on distribution.
