Just a quick post to those interested in learning more about OpenSolaris' HAT layer for AMD64.
I came across four blogs explaining different aspects of virtual memory, address translation and related things:

Eric Lowe's http://blogs.sun.com/elowe/
Tim Marsland's
http://blogs.sun.com/tpm/ - he also talks about porting Solaris to AMD64 and the various challenges he and his team went through
Joe Bonasera http://blogs.sun.com/JoeBonasera/.
Nils Nieuwejaar's http://blogs.sun.com/nilsn/, the second post down at the bottom.

Highly recommended reading if you're into it.
As always, keep your Solaris Internals and a bucket of coffee near by and you're in for some fun.
