Caching section in draft 14 of APP

Draft 14 of the Atom Publishing Protocol is has a nice section on caching and entity tags. Stuff like this really helps developers (not necessarily those developing APP clients or services) understand why entity tags are useful and how they can be used with POST, GET and PUT.

What we need now is a good explanation on the differences between strong and weak entity tags :-)

Comments:

IIRC, weak means that the meaning has not changed though the byte stream may have (new ads have been rotated into the same article, for example). Strong means that the byte sequence is identical.

I'm glad you liked it :) Sometimes it's hard to call a balance between specification and explanation. Fyi, we referenced, Editing the Web: Detecting the Lost Update Problem Using Unreserved Checkout , which has a fuller treatment.
