I had to share this comic strip with you all, it's hilarious.

As many of you know, my husband and I decided to take the TV out of our home five years ago. Best decision we ever made! Instead of watching life go by, we’re living it, participating in it.
I challenge everyone to go a week without TV and please let me know how it goes, what you learn, what I’m missing (if anything!). Would love to hear about your experiences.

The Wisdom of Crowds
Little Green Men : A Novel
Provocative Faith: Walking Away from Ordinary

But I can't afford to be smug; I'm sure my Internet connection serves as just as much of an opiate these days as the 'idiot box' ever used to.

Congratulations on weaning yourself away from TV. I take my hat off to you. It shows a discipline few people can muster.
I know I watch too much TV, but there are good things you miss - like live Phoenix Suns basketball!
And frequently, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to which I belong, broadcasts great live speeches from headquarters in Utah - particularly at the semi-annual General Conferences. I can't get the video any other way.

Sara,
I remember you always had your nose in a book through elementary when I used to come and see your brother almost every weekend. I don't really remember much TV at your house. Sorry I saw you online and wanted to say hi and you still look great. I havent forgot our first dance when you were a foot taller than me in second grade...lol Who needed TV anyway?
