Networking tip of the week

When designing networks "think outside of the box" there is more to life than Cisco products and some of them are quite good and they might just be a better fit for your solution requirements !

Comments:

Please could you recommend/suggest any product in addition to the well-known/marketed Cisco brand. Or a benchmarking site for networking products.

You can check out Juniper networks for back bone and security products, Force10 for high capacity LAN switches, Aruba networks for wireless, Nortel and F5 for Application switches, this is just a few, all I am saying is shop around and check out good technology products.

For a end user, I use Netgear(wireless router) instead of Linksys and I was able to set it up without a hitch and I am pretty happy about it as well.
