I am having such a great time at the SLA conference. It's in Denver this year, in my home town, so to speak. It's not over yet, but it's always a great time to reconnect with people and meet new people. Hell, I met pharma guys who are big on old-timey bluegrass. I got new music. I won a video iPod. I had a lot of conversations with a lot of people across the spectrum of what two or more people can talk about. I laughed until I just about cried.

What I really get out of these conferences are a deep reconnection with people - a heartfelt sense of the essence of what it means to be with other people, a connection on a very deep level. You don't get this with every conference. What more can you ask for?

I promise to write a more coherent entry soon, but I just want to say how grateful I am for an event like this. Look for more entries and pictures soon. I'll continue my story for you in the next week or so.

Scott
