Swedish Gaming Awards



Swedish Game Awards is an annual student developer contest (and project) run by students at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm Sweden, for students at KTH and elsewhere. KTH is the largest of Sweden’s universities of technology, and is responsible for one-third of Sweden’s capacity for engineering studies and technical research at post-secondary level.

Sun was head sponsor 2004, 2005, and is head sponsor 2006 for the Mobile Games Category.

I was there to present an overview of JavaME, new features for mobile devices including 2D/3D gaming and "Location Based Services", discussed Sun's new upcoming gaming server, as well as demonstrated Sun's developer tools and utilities for JavaME development.

I think this is a good chance for Sun to make a great advertisement on mobile development in Sweden.
