Forever ago, when I started this blog, I did a little feature called Friday Five. The point was to intoduce you to the members of the SDN team....the folks behind the scenes of the Sun Developer Network, through five questions. Since the team has changed a lot in the last two years...I'm bringing the feature back! Today we are featuring Jenn Winger, aka, maybeimright. Here we go:

1. What is your title?

Java Outbound Marketing Manager

2. How long have you been at Sun and in that time, what roles have you had?

I have been at Sun for 7 1/2 years and I have been all
over. I kid, but I have had a lot of interesting roles. I was
originally hired to work on the OpenOffice.org team. From there I went
and worked on outbound marketing programs for the entire desktop
portfolio (which, at the time, was StarOffice/OpenOffice.org, Gnome,
Sun Ray/Secure Global Desktop, Mozilla) From there, I moved over to
work on the Java team doing similar role that I was doing in desktop
team. And now I am in Liz's organization where I am working on emerging
marketing for the java platform, so a lot of fun things around social
media, java, blu-ray, javafx and more.

3. What is your favorite Sun technology or product?


I think Java is awesome...and Blu-ray and JavaFX are probably some of the coolest technologies I have seen in a long, long time.

4. What are you currently working on that you can share?

Right now, I am working on FY09 planning...doesn't that sound fun? ;-) We have a bunch of cool things planned for the 4 screens of your life, so stay tuned. Think phone, TV, computer, etc. ;)

5. What's one little known fact about you?


I think most people know a lot about me. But..a funny little
factoid..I have brothers named Bill and Ted. And yes, they are
excellent to each other. ;)
