Yikes! Since we launched SDN Share back in April, the community has gone from zero to almost 600 members! Thanks to all of you, we're growing. We've enjoyed reading your posts, following discussion threads, and browsing your tags, too.
Some of you have asked about adding features — such as:
- Printer-friendly pages. Yep, this is a convenient feature and we're considering it.
- Format My Posts and Comments. Today us admins apply HTML styles to plain text submissions, to improve readability and usability. If we continue to grow, we'll run out of cycles to edit posts, and we're thinking of ways submitters can format their own posts.
- Edit My Posts. Gasp! We left this feature out. Only admins can edit posts, which doesn't help if you want to make a simple change to a post you submitted. We're rethinking the post and edit model ...
We've tweaked the "freshness" algorithm, so new posts show up at the top level on the home page much longer. Everyone deserves their 15 minutes of fame, and now your posts will stay in the spotlight for the community to behold, marvel, and grace with votes, tags, and comments.
