Nah-Nah, I Know Who Won the Look&Feel Contest

I know who won the Look and Feel competition, but you don't, nah-nah! Here you can see an example of a screenshot that didn't win:

NetBeans (Gothic Prague edition)
NetBeans IDE — The Gothic Prague edition ;-) (with a phony Aqua theme on Fedora)

Well, actually, my screenshot never entered the competition because I'm part of the jury. That's nice too. Muhahahaha. :-p Also with these dark themes I gotta say, there are one or two spots where the fonts are not very readable on the black background ["Cool! No compile errors anymore! Um. *squint* Wait..."], but nothing that seriously keeps me from working.

What was it I wanted to say? Aah. I know the winners, but you can know them too... For the list of winners of the NetBeans Look&Feel competition is now available on netbeans.org. Cows leaking out of windows, the only useful butterflies in the world, and the sexiest spider you've ever seen. You gotta see it to believe it.

There are lots of cool l&fs out there, like this fancy one, looks like right out of a MYST book, don't you think?

Oh no, so similar! Which one is the real MYST book?

"What will they think of next! Alphabet soup l&f?" This one's called Napkin Look and Feel and appears to have been vaguely jotted down on a crumpled old piece of paper (or napkin). Disturbing. 8-) (More about Napkin.) There is also a NetBeans Napkin among the winners, by the way.

NetBeans Evandalists #3

PS: Has it ever occured to you that the Rekah part in Collin's "rekahsoft" sounds like "hacker" backwards? :-) I think Collin's going to be the next Roumen — he has plans for podcasts, Flash demos, and daily blogging! You've got an audience here. :-)
