Thanks to Tim, I'm getting lots of hits. I thought I'd take advantage of this bully pulpit to let you know that my group in Sun Labs is hiring.

We've got two positions open. The first is for a junior engineer to work on designing and developing extensions to our search engine. This could include new capabilities for the engine (e.g., clustering results sets) or novel applications that use the search engine (e.g., information extraction or expert finding).

If you're interested, you should submit your resume via the job posting page. Please don't send resumes to me directly.

The second position is for a recent Ph.D. graduate in machine learning. We're looking for someone who has specialized in information retrieval applications of machine learning, but we're willing to be flexible. Our focus is on practical research: novel research that could be transferred to Sun's product groups.

For this position, you can submit your resume here. Again, please don't send resumes to me directly.

Both of these positions are in Sun Labs East, which is in Burlington, Massachusetts (which is currently under three feet of snow, if that matters!) Sun Labs is a great place to work. As Seth Proctor says, "It not only rocks, it also rolls!"
