I mentioned during one of my previous posts about
wine studying. It's been less than a year since I started and I am enjoying it tremendously. As I gain knowledge and acquire tasting skills, I thought I share some interesting facts about wine. This will be my first of many posts to come ...
There is a misconception that all wines improve with age. However this is not true. Over 90% of all wines produced in the world should be consumed within a year. And, more interestingly, less than 1% should be aged more than 5 years. But, no need to be alarmed. 1% equates to over 35 million bottles of wine produced in a year worldwide.
