A very well kept secret(?) is finally found - I've been wondering for a looooooong time where the heck is the public documentation on v8plus, and it turns out it's very well hidden
here.
We're working on making this more easily accessible but in the mean time,
the above URL should work. If it doesn't, go to sun.com and search for 802-7447.
BTW, if you have no idea what is v8plus, it's an extension of 32bit ABI
that is compatible with the old 32bit ABI but allows the use of 64bit processor features.
For more detail, you need to look at SPARC ABI specifications called
"SPARC Compliance Definition" at the SPARC International resources page.
