I was at my Fire Station (where I volunteer) a few weeks ago when a local newspaper reporter stopped by to do a story on the color of fire trucks. They wanted to talk to Pingree Grove because our fire truck are Yellow. The Chief and I (Public Information Officer) told the story of why our fire trucks are not red. This reminds me of a crazy thing I learned years ago:
2 + 2 is 4.
4 x 2 is 12.
12 inches is a foot.
A foot is a ruler.
Queen Elizabeth is a ruler.
Queen Elizabeth is also a ship.
A ship sails the sea.
The sea has fishes.
Fishes have fins.
The Finns fought the Russians.
Russians are red.
That's why fire engines are red.
They are always rushin' around.
