My favorite quote from Roger Ebert, film critic, from all my years watching his TV show. From earlier this month, while lamenting the fact that small, independent films get little play in many parts of the country:

"Thank goodness for DVDs, because the distribution system in this country is just absolutely designed to turn every multiplex into an idiot's convention."
