Supercomputing in Dresden: Something Cool This Way Comes I'm flying this evening to Dresden to attend an internal Sun training session on Sunday, Sun's two-day customer HPC Consortium meeting, and the International Supercomputing Conference. I hope to blog the customer talks at the Consortium as I usually do [Seattle, Tampa.] As for the conference itself and Sun's booth [exhibition floorplan, PDF] in particular, I can't wait! Suffice to say Sun will be previewing some very cool technology that we believe the HPC community will find quite interesting. I will blog more once we officially release the details. On a more prosaic note, I'm not looking forward to tonight's travel because the flight from Frankfurt to Dresden will be diverted to Leipzig-Halle due to runway paving this weekend in Dresden, which will require an extra bus ride and several additional hours of travel.
