Look Outside Tonight
Tonight's full moon is the Harvest Moon and, with the moon almost at perigee, it is about 12% bigger than the typical full moon. NASA has some entertaining facts about moonlight here. They mention several experiments that would definitely be fun for kids or kids at heart. Purkinje shift. Fun with your fovea, etc. I'm off to try reading a book in the moonlight...
