Mac OS: Saving Web Receipts Mac OS has an option under the PDF section of its Print menu called "Save PDF to Web Receipts Folder" which is very handy for quickly saving online transaction receipts. Unfortunately, it uses the title of the web receipt's web page as the PDF filename so if you've saved multiple transactions from the same vendor, it is likely you actually have a record of only the latest transaction with that vendor since the Automator script that implements this feature silently overwrites existing files with the same name. Well, good news for Leopard users: Apple has fixed the problem. Duplicates are now renamed by appending .2, .3, etc. to the filename to avoid conflicts. (2008-01-02 12:44:46.0) Permalink Comments [0]
