Tampa Bay Sunset

I'm flying home to Providence from Tampa tomorrow morning now that Supercomputing '06 is over. I hope to blog today's two panels at some point--both were excellent. The first explored whether FPGAs might be the basis of the next big thing in HPC. The second was a very thoughtful and thought provoking discussion of the impact of multi-core processors on HPC.

In the meantime, a sunset shot to close this trip...

The reflection is amazing, but what truly grasps the eye are the rays coming down through the clouds. Incredible!

This shot was taken with a Ricoh Caplio R4 at ISO 100, 1/500, f4.4

Glad you liked it!

I just googled your camera and I was amazed that it was a point and shoot camera (well I had suspicions when I saw the brand name). They all looked like they camera from an SLR with the exception of the hawk flying. That shake reduction in your camera looks to be very effective, currently I have 2 Canon Image Stabalized Lenses (a lot more expensive then in the body of a camera!). I'll definitely be adding your URL to my link section on my new Photography Blog, Cheers!
