SocialSite's OpenSocial extensions
As you may already know, to enable full read/write access to the Social Graph for the Project SocialSite Widgets and Web Services, we're extending the standard OpenSocial APIs. This week, I've started a series of blog posts to describe the extensions we are making. Part 1 covers SocialSite's OpenSocial extensions: Web Services.

Thanks for SocialSite and the info.
It has been said in the main page of SocialSite that we can have configurable profile data and relationship type. Are relationship types configurable in the current release and is this feature among the current extension available?

Hoda, at this point, the profile and group properties used by SocialSite are defined by an XML metadata file. Relationship names and levels are not configurable yet, but we're working on that. See the proposal here: http://wikis.glassfish.org/socialsite/Wiki.jsp?page=FlexibleRelationships

Thanks for reply.
Another two questions:
1- Is there any possibility for someone to change the code of socialsite to have a very simple case of that flexible relationship to just have different types of relationships (mutual direct relationships) and categorize links from each user to these types? If so, where is starting point in the code other than changing the schema of the database?
2- What about fields in user profile? are these configurable now? I did not find any properties or xml file for that.
